A Lovely Pot of Tea!

This mouth-blown teapot with glass infuser is wonderful and makes at least 2 LARGE cups of tea. Although it looks delicate, it’s really very sturdy and I use it all day long every day with both loose black or green tea leaves and filtered water (Brita). The tea tastes great – I’ll never go back to using bags! The glass infuser has 12 vertical cuts in the base that allow the water to flow through the tea leaves and into the pot, and a soft plastic ring around the top to cushion it when inserting into the teapot and to help seal in the heat. There’s a small hole in the top of the infuser just below the plastic ring which needs to stay unobstructed to allow air to escape from the teapot as it fills (otherwise, air and tea will be forced out of the spout). To clean the infuser, I use a very soft-bristled brush and just brush in the same direction of the cuts to dislodge any trapped leaves, then wash everything by hand with a soft dishcloth. GOOS,BUT….

GOOD, BUT….

This is my second purchase of this teaport. Love it and is the right size, keeps tea warm. HOWEVER only had the first teapot for two weeks and bumped the spout of the pot, not hard, on a bowel and it shattered! Loved the pot enough to purchase a second one. So I did, so if the same things happen will be updating this review.

Awesome teapot !

When I first got the teapot, I thought it would be too sall, but this teapot holds a good 4 cups ! it is beautiful in its design and I love it !
