I can think again
YerbaMate is truly remarkable. I am sensitive to coffee (makes me climb the walls) so, I really didn’t know how my system would react to this particular tea. I’m glad to report that there were no heart palpitations, no jittery nervousness,and no restlessness. (with coffee I’m bug eyed for the majority of the night) What I did experience was mental alertness.
Since the morning is not my “cup of tea” (pardon the pun), and “the night of the living dead” (or more precisely “IT rose from the bed”) describes my attitude toward a new day more than the phrase “rise and shine”… this is a welcome relief.
There is a slight bitterness to the flavor, so you might have to aquire a taste before you can enjoy it. However, to be truly awake first thing in the morning without all of the nasty side effects is worth the effort. Yes, to the horror of some, and the amusement of others..I can think first thing in the morning again.
YerbaMate Royale Tea
This is a very tasty tea. It doesn’t make me all hyper and jittery, but a gentle “lift”. It is also sweetened with stevia (which the company also sells as a separate product, both in powder and in liquid formula and both of which I also highly recommend.)
Easy and flavorful
This has just the right amount of sweetness and I am so happy it is stevia. Definitely an eye-opener and good alternative to coffee to wake up and start the day. If it tastes too bitter it is probably too strong. If you mix it with black tea it is like Celestial Seasonings Morning Thunder tea. Yum.
