Kitty
Do not be fooled by this product’s name. It is one of Bialetti’s greatest creations. I own a Moka Coffee maker too, but the Kitty version has so many advantages over the Moka, starting with size/coffee-amount efficiency. For the same size you get more coffee, and this version, the Kitty, allows you to use more water and more coffee for the same sized machine. Besides, it is truly a work of art, and so much more comfortable to handle than the Moka machine.
great little kitty – consistent 2 years of use
I bought this espresso maker 2 years ago and it is still working great!
It was a third purchase after replacing my first aluminum expresso maker (for obvious reasons of reducing aluminum exposure) and a stainless steel expresso maker that gave inconsistent and frustrating results with pressure leakage and lack of completion of brewing.
This Bialetti Kitty has been consistent every brew for 2 years now.
I use a find-grind espresso like Illy or Tchibo – love their Milano blend.
I make sure the rim and seal are clean before screwing on (I always have since you are trying to make a seal, right?) and am only now (after daily use) researching for a replacement seal (with no crisis, as it is still working but showing some wear).

I cannot praise this little coffee maker enough! It makes the perfect amount for just me since I am the only espresso drinker in the house. It only takes a few minutes to make. Clean up is a breeze. The espresso (while not a true espresso) is close enough to the real deal to make me very happy. It is very easy to use. I would highly reccomend this product.
