Strong for a Decaf
This one is very rich, particularly for a decaffeinated tea, and makes a robust, dark cup. Through the years I have found that Taylors of Harrogate has consistent quality to their product line. This decaf Breakfast tea is not as rich and strong as their decaf Scottish tea, but that product is not easy to find. For decaf teas I recommend the Scottish first, then the Breakfast second.
Excellent Decaffeinated Tea
Most decaffeinated teas taste flat and weak to me. Taylors tea is an exception. It tastes almost as good as a cup of high quality caffeinated tea. So far I have never found another decaffeinated tea as good as Taylors Decaffeinated Breakfast Tea. Most of the Taylors teas are very good. For some reason, I think the tagless bags make better tea than the bags that have tags. Also, Taylors produces at least two sizes of bags and the larger bags seem to make better tea. Maybe that’s simply because the tea made from larger bags is stronger, given that I do not vary the size of my cup.
The Best
I’ve tried a number of decaf teas (6 at last count, I think) and this is my favorite. It’s got body and depth of flavor with subtle hints of souchong, yet soft without the acidic taste some teas have. Highly recommended.
