Just the thing
This mill is perfect – it has a ceramic burr that will never wear out, it has a center bearing at the bottom (few mills do) for flawlessly consistent grinding, and it grinds exactly enough for my morning two-cup wake-up (half of my Bodum Chambord French press). I don’t even use a measuring spoon. It’s small enough to travel with if I ever want to take it with me and it’s easy enough for a child to use. BTW, I also use it to grind espresso beans to fine powder for espresso cookies.
Precision state-of-the-art coffee grinder
Kyocera is known in Japan for it’s high-precision ceramic tools, and this amazing little grinder is one such product. It exudes quality. You open up the jar, put your favorite beans in there, set the grind coarser or finer by adjusting a screw setting, and crank away. There’s nothing to break, nothing to wear out and it doesn’t need electricity. It will just work day after day, year after year, as well as the day it was purchased. The equivalent of a Peugeot pepper grinder. The box is covered with Japanese writing, so don’t expect English instructions. There’s a simple diagram on the box and it takes 2 minutes to figure it out. A small brush works great in cleaning the mechanism, wash it if you want to. One of these, a French press, and some really good coffee beans and you can sit by a campfire and enjoy better coffee than the stuffed shirts are paying $5 per cup for at Starbucks. The only thing is it’s small and not designed to grind a pound of coffee at once. But for you…
